Taryn Solie: Hello grillers! Today is a super short episode to close out Season 1 of the Grill Like A Mother podcast.
This season has been absolutely amazing – there have been so many interesting guests that have been really generous with their knowledge about grilling and outdoor cooking. From smoking brisket to grilling indoors to holiday menus and grilling while camping, it’s been fun for me to hear from women who grill and I hope it’s been fun and informative for you too.
September brings the start of fall and this tends to be the end of grilling season for many people, especially those in the northern part of the US and Canada. So this seemed like a natural stopping point for Season 1. Season 2 is going to kick off next week and we’re going to change things up a little.
For Season 2 I’ll be doing weekly episodes focused on walking you through 1 recipe at time. It will be sort of similar to the What We’re Grilling episodes, but focused on just the one recipe. I’ll give you exact measurements for ingredients, go over all the cooking instructions, and include some tips to help you along the way.
There will of course be grilling and smoking recipes, but also recipes that go with grilling and smoking recipes, like side dishes, salads, and desserts. I’ll also have some recipes on ways to use grilling and smoking leftovers because my family loves making two meals out of one dish. These recipes will be timely too, so expect to be talking turkey as we make our way toward Thanksgiving.
I just know you’re going to get a lot out of these episodes, so I hope you’ll continue to listen in each week. Be sure and subscribe on whatever platform you’re listening on to get each new episode as it comes out.
That’s it for today, thank you so much for listening, and until next time, keep grilling like a mother.
