Equipment

Ingredients

  • ½ small head of romaine
  • 1 cooked hamburger about ¼ pound
  • 5-6 cherry tomatoes
  • 3-4 slices dill pickle
  • 1-2 slices cooked bacon sliced
  • 3-4 shiitake mushrooms sliced and sauteed
  • 2-3 slices red onion
  • 2-3 tbsp burger sauce or other condiments or dressing

Instructions

  • Wash the romaine lettuce in cold water then dry it off with a hand towel. Use a sharp knife and cutting board to chop it into smaller pieces then place it in a salad bowl.
  • Slice the cherry tomatoes in half or quarters with the knife and cutting board, depending on how big you like them in a salad. Place them in the bowl with the lettuce.
  • Add the burger onto the lettuce as well. You can either use a warm or cold burger. If you want to warm up a cold burger, warm it up separately either in a small pan over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, or on a small plate in the microwave for 30-60 seconds.
  • Add on the rest of the toppings that you have, then drizzle the burger sauce on top of the burger bowl and dig in!

Notes

  • If you want to use the burger sauce as a dressing, see this recipe for a 4-ingredient easy burger sauce.
