GROUND BEEF SKILLET

QUICK & EASY RECIPE

This ground beef skillet recipe has great, Mexican-inspired flavors and is super quick to make. Perfect for a weeknight dinner!

Ingredients: 1 tbsp oil 1/2 a yellow onion 1 bell pepper 2.5 tsp kosher salt 1.33 lbs ground beef 14.5 oz canned diced tomatoes Spices (2 tsp cumin, 1 tsp each garlic powder & chili powder) Avocado & green onion for garnish

Dice up the onion and bell pepper, removing the peel on the onion and the stem and seeds from the pepper.

Add oil to a skillet over medium heat. Add in the diced veggies plus 1 tsp of kosher salt. Cook for 5 mins then remove from skillet.

Add in the ground beef & cook for 3-5 minutes. Then add in spices and stir, cooking until meat is fully browned.

Put cooked veggies back in the pan and add diced tomatoes (don't drain them). Stir to combine.

Cover the skillet with a lid and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.

Once done, garnish with avocado and/or green onions and serve!

SHOULD YOU SEASON GROUND BEEF BEFORE BROWNING?

Yes you should, otherwise the meat might not absorb as much flavor.
