GRILLED ASPARAGUS

EASY

This easy Grilled Asparagus recipe is so simple to make and the perfect side dish. With just salt as the seasoning, it’s a great way to eat this healthy green veggie.

INGREDIENTS

-1 pound fresh asparagus -1/2 tablespoon oil (avocado or olive work well) -1/8 teaspoon kosher salt -flaky salt for serving

Prep the asparagus by taking off the woody parts at the bottom. Snap one or two off to see where to cut.

Then line the others up and cut them to roughly the same length.

Place the asparagus in a dish. Measure out the oil and pour it over the spears.

Sprinkle kosher salt on, then use your hands to make sure the oil and salt are coating the asparagus evenly.

Preheat your grill to 350F then cook the asparagus with the lid closed for 6-7 minutes, rolling them halfway through to brown evenly.

Remove the asparagus from the grill & plate them, sprinkling with flaky salt before serving.

Why does asparagus get soggy?

Asparagus gets soggy when it's overcooked. Pick it up from the grill with tongs to see how limp it is - you want it slightly bendy but not entirely limp.
