These Chocolate Hazelnut Rum Truffles are rich and creamy balls of deliciousness. Made with just six ingredients, they’re the perfect recipe for special occasions like Christmas.

– 4 ounces chocolate – 4 tbsp heavy cream – 1 tbsp butter – 1.5 tbsp rum – 1/4 tsp vanilla extract – toppings (1/4 cup each of hazelnuts, cacao powder, and/or coconut flakes)

Chop the chocolate into small pieces with a sharp knife. Place the pieces into a medium bowl and set aside.

Place the butter & cream in a bowl then microwave on high for 30 seconds. Pour the cream mixture over the chocolate & let sit for 5-7 minutes.

Whisk together the cream & chocolate, then add the rum and vanilla extract slowly, whisking to avoid clumps. Chill in the fridge for 1.5 to 2 hours

Prep the toppings and place them in small flat bowls or plates. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

Scoop the chocolate out in roughly 1 inch balls with a melon baller or other scoop. Use your fingers to round the ball out.

Place the truffle into one of the fillings & carefully roll it around with your fingers or scoop topping on with a spoon.

Place on the parchment and repeat until all the chocolate is gone. Store in the refrigerator.
