TURKEY MEATBALLS

BEST SMOKED

These BBQ Turkey Meatballs are small but pack a ton of flavor. Easily made in one bowl then smoked on a wood pellet grill or smoker, they’re perfect as part of a weeknight dinner or great as party food.

INGREDIENTS

– 1 lb ground turkey – 2.5 oz bacon frozen – 1/4 tsp garlic powder – 1/4 tsp onion powder – 1/4 tsp smoked paprika – 1/2 tsp kosher salt – 1 tbsp coconut aminos – 1/4 c almond flour – 2 tbsp BBQ sauce

Set your grill or smoker to 250 degrees F. Cut the bacon into roughly half inch pieces and chop them up in a food processor.

Pour the chopped bacon in a large bowl with the other ingredients except for the BBQ sauce and mix everything up with your hands.

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions. Take one portion and divide it into 4 parts, using your hands to round each part into a ball. Set aside and repeat with the remaining turkey mixture.

Place the meatballs on the grill and smoke for 15 minutes.

Place the BBQ sauce in a small bowl and brush a small amount on each meatball. Smoke another 15 minutes.

Turn the heat up to 350 degrees F and cook another 5-7 minutes, until the meatballs reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
